So our tenants just bought a house and now they are moving out...so I have to get a new back yard fence, broiler and maybe air conditioning in our house.  MPLS here I come sometime soon.

So I have always wanted a tattoo - now being in LA this urge is very strong...I just can't decide what I want.  Something small but fun - I like peacock feather but this may hurt a little to much.

So I have seen this bag in magazines and in Whole Foods and have always wanted it. My b-day weekend I finally got it. One bag says it feeds 100 children. I'm thinking I might get another one to help out again.

When Jilaine was here she brought me SJP new perfume as a gift.  I now have all 3 of SJP perfumes and this one is the one I like the best.  It smells very floral but not over powering.

The other day I could hear Marshalls calling my name...so I went to see what they had.

I found designer like Juicy Couture, Lilly Pulitzer, and Trina Turk in the swim wear area. (totally by accident I was looking in the house wear area) At a very good price $49.99 regular $155.00 at the department stores.  


This would be great for a pool party-I just have to find on or have one around Foxy little pool

Last weekend I finally got some new makeup! I'm addicted to beauty products.  I have finally used all these products and love them.

So I'm usually a citizens for humanity or 7 jeans girl but Jilaine and I went to the Lucky Brand store on Saturday and they had my size 24 jeans and they were 50% off and they fit like a glove.

Tonight I'm wearing the black dress to Dancing with the stars.  For the ellen show I think I might wear a navy blue wrap top.   The only concern is the producer says it is cold in the studio and I'm afraid I might freeze.  (I'm so cold now I can't type the right letters)

Louis update

Just a quick louis up date.  I guess the sophia purse(april 2 post) I wanted is only carried in 7 stores around the world.  Brussels is not one of them.  Anne and Erin so nicely picked me up the large toilette bag pictured above.  

The good news is the Joe and maybe me are going to Paris June so I can try and pick it up there.  Along with a bunch of goodies (princess tam tam bras, lotions and potions etc.)

Saturday I went to a upper body class at the club.  Easter morning I could not lift my arms at all.  I was so sore.  (madonna's arms after that class are not looking that good to me)  

There was a guy in there chatting about his script reading the other day, I didn't recognized him from any thing but he was sounding important chatting to his friend. 

Also the other day in a different class a nice lady said "you might be to curvy" I have never been called curvy in my life.  I was trying to balance sideways on a bosu ball.

I don't think there even was a question in my mind who dresses better. Carla Bruni for me wins by a 100 miles. She is so classy, elegant and always look amazing.

I don't understand the hype around Michelle's clothes - I'm sorry I don't want a first lady wearing J. Crew I want here dressed to the nine's with clothes that look good on her. (notice I said looks good on her)  Not to mention the J. Crew outfit she had on in Europe was really expensive not everyday people clothes like everyone is saying she is wearing. (the sweater was $300 alone how many people do you know that spend 300 dollars on a sweater?) I don't care we are in a recession/depression you should always dress the part you are the first lady and while your at it decorate the white house. 

My crazy opinions according to my husband is why he loves me...don't even get me started on how the AIG people deserved the bonus.

Thursday I got my first bikini wax of the season.  It is always weird finding someone to wax you.  Since I have moved back to the US I have to stay more on top of shaving my legs and arms.  I have to say I didn't do to much of that in Brussels.  Now with working out and summer coming I need to stay on top of it.

La Sac

the purse I would like 

Bonjour - so I have a bunch of euros left over from brussels.  Really I was planning on spending then before I left on a Louis vuitton however I waited to long and it was sold.  then I thought I would get an Hermes scarf at the airport - and many of you know the whole problem at the airport and Joe and I ended up flying on differnt flights home and no spare time to shop.  

My friend Anne is going to Brussels next week and I want her to pick up a purse for me.  (still not sure if I get to go to Paris in June)  The problem is that the Sophia Copala line is on the web site to show it but not to buy it yet and I don't know how much the bag is that I want.  In singapore dollars it is roughly 2200 which translates to 1200 usd.  However the purses are cheaper in europe.  (but in brussels compared to Paris add about 20 euros on to Paris price)

So to get to my point is that I don't have that many euros and not sure If i want to spent that much...there is the large toiletry bag that is more in my range and would be practical and I might just do that. 

 

Negotiations

So I have been in negotiations with Joe about a couple things. 

This is is one of them.  Is she not the cutest thing(next to Foxy)...they think she is Pomeranian/pekineses however her mom was a Maltese.  She is less then 3 months old and was dropped off by breeder because she was a mix.  

The other thing is I think Foxy need a kiddy pool for the summer months.  

Let me know if you agree with both of these. 

trainer

I just came back from my first trainer session.  From now until I'm 40 2 times a week she will be working with me along with my 2 classes that I do.  

The good news is that I met a girl at the club that is also from Minnesota and just moved here. 

Watch out 40 here I come. 

Patty's day

OH the memories of St. Patty's day or should I say the headaches the day after.  I have drank more than my share of green beer in college but the thing I most regret is living in Chicago for 6 years and never making it to the parade or seeing the river really green.  (I have seen it later in the day but never looked green to me) 

Hope the luck of the Irish is with you today. 

A Dress or Address

I just ordered this dress the other day from Saks. It was on sale and for some reason Saks sent us a $25 gift card. Since I have events to go to this summer it is perfect.

Only concern is the skirt with the 2 archs and circles on the side- it make my hips really look wide-but for photos I figured I could turn a little sideways.  

It looked orange and brown when I ordered it, I'm very pleased that it is more a coral then orange.

abs class

O.K. today in my ads and gluts class (really no gluts it is arms and legs) as she was kicking our abs and we were all groaning she says "yes i really hate when my abs look good" nothing like having you stomach hurt then laugh.  

Then lifting our weights for shoulders she said "I promise it will be worth it"  yeah that is what I have to keep telling my self. 

On the 23rd I start with my trainer.  REally when did turning 40 become so much work??

Today I'm going to lunch with the new group I joined.  I'm about 20 years younger then all the other ladies.  

The one lady I was going to go with called yesterday and she was sick and will not be able to go so I'm on my own.

What I'm doing...

I'm painfully waiting for the Ellen show to call me back about tickets.  I missed their call this morning.  I could just die that missed this call. 

 I also scheduled a facial at Kate Somerville spa for Jilaine and I.  It is kind of an early or pre birthday celebration when she comes out to visit.  The spa is actually on Melrose Place just off Melrose in LA.  

I will keep you posted on the Ellen Tickets.  Now I just need to work on Jodi's trip in July...Yankees game and Hollywood bowl are the plan. 

ring

For my b-day I would like a cocktail ring.  But just a single big gem stone preferable emerald cut. A huge emerald would be nice but thinking the price would give Joe a heart attack, but then again maybe he would think to upgrade my diamond or my band would be cheap. 

I think I found one but the stone is a London Blue topaz.  I didn't think I would be picky but I'm not sure I want a blue stone.  It is blue but not light and not really dark just true blue and huge or on my hand huge anyway. 

oh my aches

I decided to try an 1 1/2 hour abs and gluts class yesterday (friday).  My abs are pretty strong but I need to work on my gluts with 40 approaching it is not the best it has ever been. 

Well I got to the class and it is now an hour, with a 1/2 hour of abs and the rest was lunges with a weight bar then free weights.  Well I thought after 3 reps of 25 each 2.5 pound weights 4 different exercises and push up my arms would be dead today and Joe would have to dress me.  

My pain is in the top of my thighs (damn luges) and the very top of my abs/ribs (little crunches), I hardly could get out of bed this morning because I need to use the ab muscles to raise.   

Why I'm of thinking getting in shape for 40 is a good idea I don't know! except I now live in California. 

Idol

So being out of the loop from American Idol for a while, I'm hooked again .  I really like Megan, yes even her dancing.  I have also submitted for tickets we will see if I get any. 

I'm so glad she mad it through on the wild cards.  I was a little upset she didn't get in on the first round. 

Dry Cleaners

Yesterday I brought 3 of the skirts to get altered.  The little Asian ladies were having a ball with me and telling me I need to eat cause I'm to skinny.  (in very broken English)  I'm  going to bring  a couple dress and a top to them later on I will keep you posted on what they say.  I can't understand most of it because they talk in there native tongue , if they spoke French maybe.

One of the skirts I'm wearing for my nephew's graduation, one for Joe's birthday dinner in LA the other I haven't decided.  

I have also started to work out again.  It has been since June...I did a Pilates and yoga class  back to back on Tuesday.  I still have time to get arms like Madonna before by birthday.  

Gems

Joe gives me question every now and then about what I want to do...In Brussels when we moved back to Minneapolis I was going to start an non-profit.  Here in LA I would like to make and design jewerly.  Not the bead kind at art fairs, ones with gems and metal. I'm currently looking for classes that are reasonable and close.  The ring above is a little bit more that I would do but you get the idea

I know I told you this house we are renting in not the best but I feel in love with the closets! Here are some photos, the closets are across from each other in a hall way leading to the master bath. Kind of like a walk in closet. I would like to make the walk way hard wood, however we didn't have enough left from the dining room floor so I will have to mention it some day to our landlord.

Beach Ready

Thursday I decided to get a pair of jeans ready for the beach. That means I cut them so they are just above my ankle bone and frayed them. I showed them to Joe and he said "you know if we had kids and they did that to their expensive jeans I would be furious!"

The bottom of my jeans all nice and frayed. I was going to make capri's but I decided to start with them being a little longer like floods.

bright dress

This dress just came the other day. It really isn't as bright as it looks in the photo. The belt is awesome and it also needs to be fixed. You know I'm just not that big in the top, but living in the land of big tops I just might need to get some. The down side is that then my clothes wouldn't fit.
